Embroidered Romper & Tassel Clutch

embroidered romper 2

Hope you had a fabulous summer solstice yesterday! I have been anxiously awaiting a nice summer day to break out this adorable embroidered romper. It might look familiar! I featured it back in my Memorial Day post and have been loving it ever since. This strapless romper is so comfortable and perfect for any casual function. The bold embroidery is enough to stand alone, but can also be a blank canvas for your favorite bright accessories! I close the latter tactic and paired this easy romper with this fun beaded tassel clutch. BTW, can you believe this clutch is only $17 from Target?!

Although I’ve been seriously loving tassels lately… (check out my bracelets!) My life saver of the summer has been my embellished espadrilles. Espadrilles are everywhere this season. I’ve seen them in flat sandal form, wedges, but mostly slip-ons. [Check out my full summer shoe guide here!] Espadrilles are so versatile! I can easily dress these up or down and walk all day in them. They are perfectly neutral and go with everything in my closet and just the right amount of sparkle for both daytime and night,

Americana Ready- Stars & Stripes

My favorite time of the year is right around the corner, the fourth of July! I love the fireworks, the barbecue parties and of course the fun americana clothes!…. and I mean how can you resist sparklers?

Over the years, I’ve accumulated quite the collection of americana in my closet, but I love mixing it up with new items every year. My favorite, super easy look this year is Old Navy’s Star Print Dress. The chambray material makes it perfect for summer and I love the halter silhouette and added pockets. It’s adorable! I am also in love with this Tie Dye Crop Top and Denim Cut-offs. It’s the perfect fourth of July weekend uniform for spending the day out in the sun. And to keep it fun and casual, I think any of the outfits would look great with these amazing Red High Top Converse Sneakers, especially the White Overalls! I’ll be living in those the rest of summer! Are you ready for your long Fourth of July weekend? If not, enjoy and get to shopping! Happy Friday!

Swim Trends for Your Summer on a Budget

Is your closet stocked with 2015’s latest swim trends? The official start to summer is less than a week away and it’s time to get your closet in poolside shape!

This year’s swim trends are so fun! There’s a ton of monokinis for those of you wanting a little more coverage, lots of colorblocking for the sporty girls, scallops and crochet for the girly girls and stripes and prints for the bold girls out there. As you can tell from my top picks featured below, I am really digging monokinis and one pieces. My absolute favorites are the Pink Scalloped Swimsuit and the Striped Swimsuit, which are a bargain at only $40 each!

At the start of each swim season, I like to buy one new swimsuit and maybe a new bikini top or bottom. I love to mix and match my bikinis. By buying just one new piece, I can pair it with some of my solid, polka dot or even printed bikinis. Bikini mix and match is so popular these days that almost anything goes! And it’s the best way to get the most for your money this swim season. Just don’t forget, versatility is key! Enjoy my top swim picks below and share your favorites of the season in the comments!

Summer Embroidery Trend | 2015

Summer fashion can be so fun! People seem to take themselves less seriously and wear bright colors, fun printscute tassels & poms and of course summer embroidery! I’ve noticed myself incorporating a lot of embroidery into my looks lately so I decided to do a round-up of my favorite budget friendly embroidered items to kick off your weekend!

My absolute favorites are the Lace-Up Sandals, the Geometric Tote, the Chambray Shift Dress and of course the Black Jumpsuit. The chambray shift dress is so fun and effortless and would look amazing with some of summer’s hottest shoes… the Lace-Up Gladiator Sandal! And the jumpsuit is so versatile! It’s the ideal piece to take you from day to night this summer. The silhouette and fabrication are simple making it perfect for daytime lounging, but it could look great with heels out on the town as well!

The Perfect Coral Dress for Summer

Coral Dress 1

This coral dress screams summer to me. I love the bright coral color. I love the sexy off the shoulder silhouette. I love the flirty tassel trim. And most of all, I love how easy this dress is to wear.
Coral Dress 3
Coral Dress 9

I can see myself getting a ton of use out of this dress. Although it makes a statement, it’s super versatile. It’s easy enough to wear to a day party, to brunch with friends or even to spend the day shopping. There’s so much life packed into this dress. As soon as I put it on I wanted to spin around the room. The tassels are not only right on trend, but they add a playful element to keep the silhouette young and carefree.

I kept the accessories easy, fitting into the theme of the dress. My bracelets are all easy, summery, and have a boho feel to them. And I paired this look with my favorite wedges. These Audrey Brooke Sandals are my go-to for summer. They are surprisingly comfortable and go with everything. The gold details make these wedges feel elevated.

Perry Street Isla Necklace

Perry Street Isla Necklace (retails at $64, member price is $51)– When I opened this month’s box I was in awe by this hot pink necklace. It has a simple design, but the color makes it bold and fun. It adds a ton of personality to any outfit and can hold its own with the ultra girly looks in your closet or even glam up your casual jeans and white tee. It’s the perfect mix between a statement necklace and dainty look, you definitely get your bang for your buck with this guy!

Loren Hope Palmer Necklace in SeafoamLoren Hope Palmer Necklace in Seafoam (retails at $118, member price is $94)- Although this necklace didn’t “wow” me initially, I found myself gravitating to it every morning. You wouldn’t think this mint hue would go with much in your closet, but somehow it complimented nearly everything I wore. I especially loved the longer length of the chain, making it easy to layer with different necklaces and necklines. It was by far my favorite piece this month!

Perry Street Elise EarringsPerry Street Elise Earrings (retails at $38, member price is $30)- I love these studs! The size of them is perfect. They are big enough to make a bold statement, but light enough that I don’t even notice the weight of them after a long day. The antique gold and rhinestone look makes these earrings so versatile. I ended up wearing them with gold, silver and even by themselves and got a ton of mileage out of them. They become my go-to studs for weeks!

I mean how amazing was that box? Are you like me and can’t get enough of Rocksbox? Try checking out last month’s set of jewelry, April RocksBox Review.

Hats off to the Royal Ascot

For those of you not familiar with the Royal Ascot, it’s an annual horserace in the UK where the attendees might not be able to tell you who won the race, but they can tell you who designed Kate Middleton’s dress. This race dates all the way back to 1711 and some of the dress code requirements do as well! Don’t even thinking about baring your midriff or showing your knees. And hats are not only worn to make a fashion statement, they are actually required (at least 4 inches wide!). And for my homegirls in the US… the hats worn at this social event of the season put the Kentucky Derby to shame.

Royal Ascot Hats

Farfetch put me up to the challenge of finding the perfect head-to-toe look for the upcoming Royal Ascot Race and I have been having a blast with it. I have three pieces of advice when styling a look for an event like this. (1) When an outfit is all about the accessory, start there! (2) Find the right balance of classic and trend, not costume (3) Even if there’s a dress code, don’t take it too seriously.

Have fun with it! If you feel comfortable and love your look, your confidence will give you all the swagger you need! My whole look started with this beautiful hat. The wood, burlap and floral details look like inspiration pulled right from my wedding tablescape! When I saw this hat, it immediately pulled at my heartstrings and I knew it was the one to build my look off of. Picking a dress wasn’t as easy, but I have been seriously obsessed with gingham lately. I have been scouring the streets for the perfect gingham midi skirt so once I saw this Oscar De La Renta masterpiece, my search was over. To compliment my feminine, spring look I opted for shoes that were basically made for this ensemble, Charlotte Olympia’s blue suede pumps. (and to be honest I’ve always wanted a pair of blue suede shoes!) Last but not least, I finished my look with a dainty gold bracelet and clutch. Too bad I won’t be in the UK for the race because I would totally rock this look! I hope you guys enjoy my look for the Royal Ascot, make sure to shop the links below and share your favorites in the comments!

Number 4™ Blow Dry Lotion
JUARA Candlenut Body Creme
W3LL PEOPLE The Expressionist Mascara
Marcelle Hydra-C 24H Energizing Hydrating Gel
CoTZ® Flawless Complexion SPF 50

Have you tried any of Number 4’s hair care products? I’ve tried quite a few that have been sent my way in past birchboxes. In my latest box was the Number 4™ Blow Dry Lotion. I was really excited to see this guy since I have uber long hair that needs serious protection from the heat I subject it to. It is not only supposed to protect your hair, but also act as a leave-in treatment to condition it as well. I didn’t notice a decrease in the dry time like many of the reviewers found, but I have pretty long, thin hair so it doesn’t take me a ton of time to dry my hair in the first place. However, I did notice it left my hair looking healthy and shiny, but unfortunately it didn’t feel the same way. It seemed to leave a residue on my hair that felt a little sticky and gave my hair too much texture for how thin it is. I think this product could be better suited for girls with thicker, shorter hair.

Next to be reviewed is the JUARA Candlenut Body Creme. I can never pass up a great body creme! This cream not only smells amazing (think light and tropical!), but it’s also super hydrating. A little goes a long way and leaves the skin feeling anything but greasy. The velvety texture soaks into the skin immediately and leaves a smoothness that lasts all day. The candlenut oil in this creme is full of fatty acids which makes is a natural healer for dry skin. This creme is a great go-to for keeping your skin hydrated after those long summer days in the sun!

As you may know, I love mascara and I get to review another one this week! I actually received a mascara that I not only haven’t tried, but I’ve never even heard of… W3LL PEOPLE The Expressionist Mascara. This product is a great lightweight and completely natural mascara. The applicator brush is amazing; the small bristles catch every lash and help grab on to lengthen your lashes while keeping them 100% clump-free. I didn’t find the formula to flake or smudge at all throughout the day. If you are looking for a bold dramatic look, this mascara probably isn’t for you. But if you want long, natural looking lashes, this mascara was 100% made for you!

Up next is the Marcelle Hydra-C 24H Energizing Hydrating Gel. The name pretty much says it all! This product has a gel texture that has a cooling effect when applied. It’s filled with green tea and cucumber extracts plus vitamins C and E, all of which help it to not only hydrate your skin, but protect it all day! The thick gel texture packs serious moisturizer that you won’t be disappointed with. It’s the perfect product to apply on a light makeup day to help brighten and protect your skin, but due to the thick texture, I wouldn’t want to layer much makeup on top of it.

And the last sample in my May Birchbox review is CoTZ® Flawless Complexion SPF 50.  I’ve received a few sunscreens from this brand before. This gentle formula helps protect you from the sun (SPF 50!) while giving you a sheer coverage for acne prone skin. The best part about this stuff is it’s SPF 50 and still has a very lightweight formula. It also has a slight tint to it which is great for any daytime, outdoor parties that you may need to dress up for. The non-greasy formula prevents clogging pores while still covering imperfections. It’s the best of both worlds!

And that’s a wrap for this month’s beauty samples! Have you heard of any of these brands or tried any of these products before? Tell me about them in the comments below!

Summer’s Hottest | The All White Trend

Hey glamouritas! Now that summer has (unofficially) begun, it’s time to break out those white pants… and don’t stop there! Some of the hottest looks for summer are head-to-toe white and this all white trend is easy to pull off!

The absolute best thing about this trend is I’m sure you already have the perfect pieces sitting in your closet. I’ve been known to pair just plain white denim with a white crochet sleeve top and call it a day! (check the look out here!) Or you can spice it up with fringe, bell sleeves and a little skin! You can pair this easy monochromatic look back to white accessories like I did or add come color by styling it back to your favorite bright necklaces, clutches and more. Either way, this trend is anything but boring! Get started by shopping the trend below and share your favorite all white tips in the comments!
