Pink at the Palace of Versailles

Paris might be the most magical place in the world. With the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the moonlight, champagne and macarons served with every meal and of course the pink marbled walls of the Palace of Versailles, what’s not to love? We’ve seen quite a few castles in our travels around Europe and the Palace of Versailles is by far the grandest we’ve laid eyes on!

The grounds were absolutely massive! We spent the whole day wandering around taking pictures and admiring the views. We even got lost at one point! The landscaping was done impeccably, with every swirl and shape perfectly trimmed and ready for a photo op! I love picturing French royalty walking out on their terrace and taking in this view every morning. It was completely breathtaking!

We were not only shocked by the sheer size of the palace, but also by the whole “campus” of Versailles. There were restaurants and cafes (with wifi!), bicycles and boats to rent out and even tourists driving around in golf carts! If you have good eyes you might even be able to spot a couple in my pictures. We spent the whole day exploring, but you could easily spend a week or more at the palace without getting bored! Perry Street Amelie Crystal Necklace (retails at $90, member price is $72)– When I saw this necklace in my rocksbox, I could hardly contain my squeals of delight! I’ve seen this necklace featured before and have had my eye on it! BUT, when I started trying it on, I found it harder to wear than I expected. I ended up finding the perfect tank to pair it with, my Old Navy Hi-Neck Tank! (ft. in Pink Pumps post), it looks great with anything simple and hi-necked.

Gorjana Mika Cutout Drop Earrings (retails at $65, member price is $52)– As I’ve mentioned before, Gorjana has become one of my favorite jewelry designers! Their pieces are well-made and you can feel the quality of them as soon as they touch your skin. These earrings are no exception. These completely WOWed me as soon as I saw them. They are so fun and geometric with just a little edge! And they are just delicate enough to pair with all my favorite gold accessories.

Sophie Harper Pavé Bar Necklace (retails at $56, member price is $44)– This delicate pavé necklace is right on trend! I love the simple and dainty look of this necklace. Because it’s so beautifully simple, I find myself wearing it all the time! It goes well with all my gold jewelry, but especially with the Gorjana earrings featured above! And just like Gorjana, this Sophie Harper necklace is great quality. They have been my go to dynamic gold duo these days, a perfect pair!

Spring in your Step- Spring Shoe Trends

Magical things happen in Spring. Birds start chirping, flowers bloom, and people come out to soak up the sun.

I don’t know about you, but to me the spring season is all about getting out of hibernation and enjoying the outdoors. There are trails to be explored, parks to be sat in, pools to be swam in and most importantly… spring shoe trends to be worn! Lucky for you, I’ve got the perfect footwear to start your spring off on the right foot (pun intended), no matter your budget! 🙂

When looking for shoes to go out and enjoy the spring weather in, I have a few requirements… First of all, comfort! I love shoes that can be slid on and off easily and are comfortable enough for me to wear for hours. Second, versatility! It’s important for my shoes to not only be able to pair back to multiple things in my closet effortlessly, but I want them to take me from day to night. Spring days out and about often turn into spring nights unexpectedly! I don’t want to be caught in my flip flops while trying to enjoy a nice dinner with friends. Lastly, price! As you know, I am always price-conscious and shoes are no exception. I walk around so much that I find myself literally running my shoes into the ground. Between how fast I wear through them and how quickly trends change, I prefer to stick to a strict budget to keep both my wallet and my feet happy.

Channel the Romance- floral and lace trend

Wake up! Winter is almost over and it’s time to start stocking up on some spring looks!

Florals, crochet and lace are all attracting my eye this season. There’s something about this ultra-feminine look that just screams “spring has sprung!”. Connecting the spring mentality to these pieces makes this trend completely irresistible. This trend goes perfectly with summer festivals, but it also great for any barbecue or day out and about. Although I love each of these pieces individually, I would personally choose to style them separately. I think a delicate crochet top looks great with boyfriend jeans and I would rather wear a floral skirt with something like a leather jacket. Trendy Spring Accessories on a Budget

Now that we are well into March, I am finding myself slowly transitioning my wardrobe into Spring.

Spring calls for a fresh new look- sunglasses, floral prints, sandals and pastels! Doing a complete overhaul of your wardrobe every season is a little unrealistic so I love getting affordable transitional pieces like these below that can spring forward any winter look. Spring Shoe Trends | 2015

I’m back! Sorry for my unexpected hiatus! I’ve been under the weather and traveling for the past few weeks and I’m finally back home and healthy (almost)!

Anyways, today is all about spring shoe trends. We are well into February and it’s about this time of year that I start to get antsy for spring! I am dying to go get a fresh pedicure and prance around town in some new, fun, spring forward shoes!

This year I’m gravitating toward metallics, bright prints and detailed neutrals. What are my absolute must haves for spring?

Espadrilles- go for an easy neutral pair or a wild printed pair! (or both!!)
Embellished Sandals- these glitter and rhinestone sandals from Target are completely necessary!
Fun Heels- either iridescent or fringed, there’s no going wrong here!

Sparkle in Plaid

Today is all about dolling up the rugged plaid trend. Just because a lumberjack wears plaid to chop down a tree doesn’t mean we can’t sparkle in it! I see a lot of girls sporting the plaid trend, but it’s almost always paired back to sneakers and a ponytail. Don’t get me wrong, that’s an adorable casual look, but there’s no reason you can’t dress up that same plaid shirt!

MLK Day Sale | Up to 60% Off

I don’t know about you, but I am certainly ready for this upcoming three day weekend! MLK day means extra fun, extra sleep and great sales!

This weekend, many retailers will be focused on getting rid of their clearance so there are plenty of deals to be had! Brands like Forever 21 and Old Navy are offering an extra 30% off clearance, that’s huge! But since clearance sells out quicker than I can write about it, today I’m focusing on H&M’s amazing up to 60% off sale!
