{ Happy Fourth of July }

Happy Fourth of July everyone…almost! I hope you are lucky like me and able to take off early for the holiday weekend. Today I’m giving you a sneak peek of how I will be showing off my patriotism tomorrow!

I bought these flag shorts from Target last year, but I am seeing this idea at more and more retailers this year (including the Forever 21 shorts posted below!). Since I thought these shorts would be a disposable purchase, I shopped around to make sure I got a good deal. But, I have been pleasantly surprised with how much use I’ve gotten out of them! Between the Fourth of July, the World Cup and the Indy 500 (yes I’m from Indianapolis!), they’ve done their fair share of celebrating!

City by the Bay

I have to admit, I’m not normally a huge fan of graffiti, but I love this City by the Bay wall near our apartment. It’s lively, colorful and encompasses all the joy San Francisco has to offer! After passing this wall every week, I finally felt compelled to feature it on my blog. And what better way to show off this vivid work of art than the white-hot trend that’s everywhere this season?

Head-to-toe white is a great look this summer! It’s such an easy outfit to pull together and looks effortlessly polished. Summer Must Haves

Hi all! Since the official start of summer is this Saturday, I am rounding up my favorite must haves for the season! If you are anything like us, you already have a TON planned for this summer. Or is the beach calling your name? The first chance we get, my husband and I will be cruising up Highway 1 to Stinson Beach. It’s an incredible beach town where we escape the city to relax and catch some rays. Compiled below are some finds I’ve been lusting over for this year’s inevitable beach trips. I love the ease of this crepe mint cover-up, the bright high-waisted floral bikini and even the fun ice cream beach towel! Tired of flip-flops? Try giving your feet a break by ditching those flip-flops for these tropical printed slip-ons. (I’m kinda obsessed and have featured 2 different pairs I have in Studs & Crochet and Pop of Mint). Fringe by the Bay

Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and the sun is shining! San Francisco weather has been unusually warm and I have been taking advantage of it. Any chance my husband and I get, we take a trip to a park or beach. In this case we walked up to the pier and spent the day at Ghiradelli Square. We love to bring a book, some snacks and hang out and enjoy the weather. Often times we will take the scenic route back and stop for dessert along the way. It’s a great, relaxing way to spend the day outside together.

On this beautiful day by the bay, I chose to go for the boho chic look. I paired this vintage shift dress back to my go-to Levi’s denim vest. I brought the whole look together with this super fun ALDO Fringed Crossbody and beaded sandals. This outfit was the perfect laid-back look to spend the day lounging beachside.
