Slip-On Looks for Less
Living in downtown San Francisco, I do a ton of walking throughout the city. Whether it’s going to and from work, grocery shopping or even just walking down to the park, I rack up the miles! This kind of daily activity obviously calls for comfortable shoes, but you will never see me walking around the city in tennis shoes…. unless I’m at the gym and even then it’s a toss up.
That being said, I’m a huge fan of the fashion meets fitness trend that is becoming more and more popular (check out the Track Pant Trend!). And as I’ve mentioned before I am a HUGE fan of slip-ons, specifically these amazing Topshop Silp-ons I’ve been rocking all year. But I thought it was about time I spice up my slip-on collection with a new style or two. Summer in San Francisco
As August comes to an end, summer in San Francisco begins! Fall is a magical time for us in San Francisco- it’s when temperatures start to rise and tourist season starts to wind down, the sun starts to shine a little brighter and the streets are a little less crowded. That’s why this weekend we were focused on enjoying our wonderful city!
I wore my favorite summer shorts, my white Levi 501’s. They scream summer with the multi colored neon dots embroidered on the front. With these temperatures, it’s key to wear your shorts and tanks, but I never leave home without a jacket! I chose my favorite chambray top from Levi’s, the perfect piece to complete any outfit and shield me from the wind.

The Boyfriend Jean
Last week I finally found a pair of boyfriend jeans that work for me. I spotted these 501’s with the perfect amount of destruction I was looking for and had to have them. After a quick cuff and throwing on some heels, I’m out the door.
I love this outfit because it’s simple and effortless. These jeans can be dressed up or dressed down. For dinner with my husband, I decided to dress them up with heels and a leather jacket. This leather moto jacket is a recent find from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale- they sold out, but I found a similar one at Macy’s. Shop the full look below!

Chevron Chic
Most of you know Chicago as the Windy City, and so did I… until I moved to the top of a hill in San Francisco. This city by the bay is windy, especially as you climb further up the hills. And as much as I try to get my hair to cooperate, sometimes you’ve just got to surrender to the wind and throw it on a bun!
This chevron baseball jacket was one of my many scores from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s a pretty busy print, so I chose to keep it the rest of my outfit simple with a black top and maxi, finishing it off with gold accessories. I love to take everyday basics and pair them back to one pop item or statement piece. This jacket gives the look personality and a fun seventies vibe!
Notice that pop of pink on my wrist? That’s my new fitbit! The jury is still out on it, but so far I’m really liking it and learning a lot about my body. Do any of you have a fitness tracker? If so what are your thoughts on them?

To continue the trend of affordability from yesterday’s Forever Blue post, today’s focus is Looks for Less! See below for inexpensive alternatives to some of the hottest accessories out there right now!

I not only LOVE this camello option below, but also the pink colorway here. I’ve been living in maxi skirts/dresses this season. They are so versatile and can easily take you from daytime into night with a change of an accessory or two. I recently bought this chiffon maxi skirt from Forever 21 for only $12.80! I absolutely love the light pink color and how it catches in the wind! To keep this look from going too rustic, I paired it back to my favorite blinged-out accessories, creating a shabby chic vibe!
To keep this skirt looking casual and cool in the daytime, I wore this adorable horseshoe printed chambray button up from Banana Republic. Instead of my usual half-tuck, I knotted it at the waistline to keep it tailored and girly.

That’s right, it’s the most wonderful time of the year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
It’s Nordstrom’s best sale of the year and it only runs for a limited time! Nordstrom Reward Members get early access July 10th – July 17th, after that the sale opens up to everyone. Being a Rewards Member, I have been shopping the sale for a few days (not to mention I am well stocked in Nordstrom gift cards from my birthday last week- thanks everyone!!).
