I cannot believe we are already half way through June and the fourth of July is just around the corner! This holiday is one of my favorites. It’s so close to my birthday, it’s usually accompanied by a great bbq, and I mean there’s always awesome fireworks to enjoy!
I’m starting to shop for the holiday weekend now, so I thought I might as well share what some of my favorites are. I tend to wear more casual things for the fourth so most of the items below are on the fun/casual side. However, I did include some dressier options (rompers and dresses) at the end for you girls that want to dress up a little!

Americana Ready- Stars & Stripes
My favorite time of the year is right around the corner, the fourth of July! I love the fireworks, the barbecue parties and of course the fun americana clothes!…. and I mean how can you resist sparklers?
Over the years, I’ve accumulated quite the collection of americana in my closet, but I love mixing it up with new items every year. My favorite, super easy look this year is Old Navy’s Star Print Dress. The chambray material makes it perfect for summer and I love the halter silhouette and added pockets. It’s adorable! I am also in love with this Tie Dye Crop Top and Denim Cut-offs. It’s the perfect fourth of July weekend uniform for spending the day out in the sun. And to keep it fun and casual, I think any of the outfits would look great with these amazing Red High Top Converse Sneakers, especially the White Overalls! Christian Louboutin Nail Polish
Being a shoe lover for most of my life, I have always been infatuated with Christian Louboutin’s red-soled heels. There is something about that luxurious red sole that just calls my name! A pair of Louboutins are a girl’s best friend and the perfect pump! They are classic, iconic, fun and always make a statement as you walk away!

Now, Louboutin is taking the perfect shade of red from the bottom of their heels and literally bottling it up! Christian Louboutin has finally decided to enter the beauty world and is paving his way with the release of his Rouge Louboutin Nail Colour. This nail polish isn’t an ordinary nail polish, it’s a work of art!
Let’s start with the price. It’s the most expensive nail polish I’ve seen, retailing at $50 a bottle! The bottle’s cap is an 8-inch tall spike, replicating the height of the beautifully unrealistic Ballerina Ultima shoe pictured above. Painting with the thin, elongated cap is reminiscent of painting with a paint brush. With all this going on, this lavish bottle is not a nail polish you throw into your kaboodle and hide under your sink. This ombre bottle is meant to be décor for your bathroom or vanity. It’s made to leave an impact and it does just that!
As of today, only the Rouge Louboutin shade is available, but they have decided to come out with three different color families of shades, the Pops and Nudes and the Noirs, all available August 31st.

Christian Louboutin came up with his red sole while working on an early prototype and thought something was missing. He grabbed his assistant’s red nail polish and painted the sole of the heel on a whim! With that, the signature red sole was born!

{ Happy Fourth of July }
Happy Fourth of July everyone…almost! I hope you are lucky like me and able to take off early for the holiday weekend. Today I’m giving you a sneak peek of how I will be showing off my patriotism tomorrow!
I bought these flag shorts from Target last year, but I am seeing this idea at more and more retailers this year (including the Forever 21 shorts posted below!). Since I thought these shorts would be a disposable purchase, I shopped around to make sure I got a good deal. But, I have been pleasantly surprised with how much use I’ve gotten out of them! Between the Fourth of July, the World Cup and the Indy 500 (yes I’m from Indianapolis!), they’ve done their fair share of celebrating!

Can you believe the Fourth of July is just one week away? Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays! This is partly because I love barbecues, s’mores and fireworks and partly because it’s usually coupled with my birthday celebration. This year I am especially excited for the long weekend because my parents will be visiting me all the way from Indiana! I have been busy filling their itinerary with all the “can’t miss” tourist activities in San Francisco and couldn’t help planning my outfits for the holiday weekend as well! This past weekend, my husband and I took a trip to Healdsburg, CA. We have been talking about taking a trip up to wine country to stock up on our favorite beverage for some time now and finally decided to plan it. For this trip, we focused on this adorable little town called Healdsburg. The wineries were beautiful, the weather was great and the food was amazing; we couldn’t have asked for anything more from this small town!
