Red Wine & Red Rompers

This past weekend, my husband and I took a trip to Healdsburg, CA. We have been talking about taking a trip up to wine country to stock up on our favorite beverage for some time now and finally decided to plan it. For this trip, we focused on this adorable little town called Healdsburg. The wineries were beautiful, the weather was great and the food was amazing; we couldn’t have asked for anything more from this small town!

Since it’s much warmer in this area than San Francisco, I decided to go with this bold shorts romper from Forever 21. Strappy Steals

Happy Mani-Monday everybody! I hope you had a fabulous weekend and took some extra time to give your toes a pedicure… because it’s sandal season! In honor of my weekend pedi, I wanted to share my favorite sandals. If you don’t know much about me, I am usually known to gravitate to the shiniest object in the room. The more bling the better right? But this spring I’m focusing my love on the simple and sleek sandals out there. Pop of Mint

Today I am rocking yet another color of these Topshop Slip-Ons. You may have seen my light pink pair from the Studs & Crochet post a couple of weeks ago. I ended up loving those so much I had to run back to Nordstrom and buy the black pair too! They are so versatile and comfortable that I find myself throwing them on all the time! And for only $35, you can’t beat them!

One of my favorite colors right now is mint and it has been popping up everywhere over the past year! Since pastels are trending this season, I got this mint crossbody to add a pop of color to my neutral outfits. I can only expect that mint won’t be sticking around as the trendy color forever, so I opted for this Forever 21 option that was only $14.80! What a steal! Do you love the pastel trend this season? Fringe by the Bay

Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and the sun is shining! San Francisco weather has been unusually warm and I have been taking advantage of it. Any chance my husband and I get, we take a trip to a park or beach. In this case we walked up to the pier and spent the day at Ghiradelli Square. We love to bring a book, some snacks and hang out and enjoy the weather. Often times we will take the scenic route back and stop for dessert along the way. It’s a great, relaxing way to spend the day outside together.

On this beautiful day by the bay, I chose to go for the boho chic look. I paired this vintage shift dress back to my go-to Levi’s denim vest. I brought the whole look together with this super fun ALDO Fringed Crossbody and beaded sandals. This outfit was the perfect laid-back look to spend the day lounging beachside. Power of Pink

Exploring San Francisco with my husband is one of my favorite weekend activities. When I know a lot of walking and hills are on the agenda, comfort is key! With this in mind, I chose the girl’s best friend, a maxi skirt. I love maxis. They can be dressed up or down and are a staple for any wardrobe. I especially love this one from Nordstrom with the side zipper. You can change the height of the zipper slit depending on your outfit.

When dressing comfy, I quickly pass up the heels and grab some flats. The key to looking put together when dressing comfortable is accessorizing! In this look I opted to glam it up with my white rhinestone handbag, rhinestone caged sandals and heart sunnies. This was a great ensemble to run around town in. Simply Scalloped

I admit it, I’m a sucker for a scalloped trim. There is just something very feminine and sweet about it and a scalloped trim can transform any outfit. It makes shorts more elegant, tops and dresses more playful and adds a little bit of whimsy to accessories. I see this trend popping up everywhere this season, even in some unexpected places! This weekend I stumbled upon this wall of beautiful pink flowers and just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to use it as a backdrop. How could I when these vibrant blooms perfectly matched my pink bamboo clutch? I paired this bold clutch back to this effortless romper I got from Forever21 (for only $19.80!). Rompers are a must for any girl’s wardrobe. Since they are a one-piece look, they are so easy to throw on and look fabulous!

It’s finally starting to feel like spring is here and the tropical trend is in full swing! Everywhere I look there are quirky conversational prints and fun florals tempting me. As you can see, I am particularly drawn to the fruit inspired pieces! The items above are great for a beach day or a backyard barbeque. I think personal style is a great outlet to express your personality, so why not have fun with it? I love to add elements with a sense of humor into my wardrobe and decorations around the apartment. It’s easiest to start with accessories and prints (like the tropical backpack, printed hat and the fruit watch) and work your way into the bolder items (like the pineapple crossbody and the watermelon flats). I have been seeing Stuart Weitzman’s Gladiator Sandals everywhere this spring! They are spotted on countless celebrities and are a great way to add some sass to a summer outfit.
