Living in downtown San Francisco, I do a ton of walking throughout the city. Whether it’s going to and from work, grocery shopping or even just walking down to the park, I rack up the miles! This kind of daily activity obviously calls for comfortable shoes, but you will never see me walking around the city in tennis shoes…. unless I’m at the gym and even then it’s a toss up.

I think my favorite part of this trend is the individuality it offers. I know that seems counterintuitive since it follows pretty strict color code, but you can still put your own spin on it! That’s right, it’s the most wonderful time of the year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
It’s Nordstrom’s best sale of the year and it only runs for a limited time! Nordstrom Reward Members get early access July 10th – July 17th, after that the sale opens up to everyone. Being a Rewards Member, I have been shopping the sale for a few days (not to mention I am well stocked in Nordstrom gift cards from my birthday last week- thanks everyone!!). And I’ve found there are a ton of great deals to be had out there. Below, I listed some of my favorite products and best buys from the sale, but hurry! Prices go back up August 4th!!
1- Clarisonic– a must have in your beauty regimen (I’m obsessed with mine!!). I already have the Mia 2 and my skin has never felt softer! This cleansing system pack is on sale for just $149 ($221 value!).
2- Voluspa Candles– these candles are beautiful and smell amazing. I currently have these candles scattered about my apartment. This 3-pack is on sale for $29.50 ($48 value).

Can you believe the Fourth of July is just one week away? Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays! This is partly because I love barbecues, s’mores and fireworks and partly because it’s usually coupled with my birthday celebration. This year I am especially excited for the long weekend because my parents will be visiting me all the way from Indiana! I have been busy filling their itinerary with all the “can’t miss” tourist activities in San Francisco and couldn’t help planning my outfits for the holiday weekend as well! Today I am rocking yet another color of these Topshop Slip-Ons. You may have seen my light pink pair from the Studs & Crochet post a couple of weeks ago. I ended up loving those so much I had to run back to Nordstrom and buy the black pair too! They are so versatile and comfortable that I find myself throwing them on all the time! And for only $35, you can’t beat them!
One of my favorite colors right now is mint and it has been popping up everywhere over the past year! Since pastels are trending this season, I got this mint crossbody to add a pop of color to my neutral outfits. Today I decided to ditch the jeans and dress them up with a flirty crochet skirt. Pairing this look back to my studded Levi jacket and leopard print crossbody adds just enough toughness to offset the pastel pink shoes and crochet skirt.
