Rompers and Picnics at the Beach

Crashing waves, rompers and champagne… now that’s what I’m talking about! Before our trip to Europe, my husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary at Crissy Beach in San Francisco. One of our favorite ways to experience our city is packing a yummy picnic and enjoying the sunshine.

Rompers and Picnics at the Beach

I wore this adorable eyelet romper (previously featured here!) for our casual day at the beach and paired it with my favorite spring accessories- Leopard Sandals, a dutch braid and a perfectly packed picnic basket! Nothing recharges me after a crazy week like spending a day relaxing in the sunshine. To have your own effortless picnic day, check out my guide to preparing for the perfect picnic here!

The Perfect Picnic

There’s nothing better than spending the day lounging in the sunshine. Our apartment is blocks from a few different parks and not too far from the beach either. We try to take advantage of the awesome year round weather and views as much as possible! And what better way than a picnic?

BBB Picnic BasketWhen registering for our wedding, I found this amazing picnic basket at Bed, Bath and Beyond for only $39.99! This basket has come in handy over the past few months. It is well made, versatile and a steal at $40 (only $32 if you have a 20% off coupon!). The bottom half doubles as a zip-insulated cooler, perfect for drinks, cheese, fruit, etc. And it comes with 4 plastic place settings strapped in, including plates, mugs, forks, spoons and knives. All you have to do is add the food, drinks and blanket and you have a picnic!

When I ordered this basket online I expected it to be small, but the size surprised me! The zippered cooler section is big enough to hold wine bottles plus food and ice! It’s the perfect way to make packing for picnics a cinch. Still need help deciding what to pack into it? See my picnic must haves below!
