Pink Floppy Hat on the Pier

Lately, my outfits have been centered around my accessories. Whether it’s a hat, a bag, shoes or jewelry, these accessories seem to be dictating the rest of my outfit and I kinda love it! It’s great when a statement piece can hold it’s own in an outfit. This weekend it’s all about my pink floppy hat!

PINK FLOPPY HAT ON THE PIER

I got this Pink Floppy Felt Hat from Nordstrom for only $28 this past week. I think it creates the perfect spring look paired with black and denim basics. It seriously saved my hair this weekend! As we were walking on the pier, the wind was blowing my hair everywhere! It was perfect to tame my mane and to hide my less than perfect hair day, but still not give me hat hair!

I chose to style this hat with my Old Navy Denim Jacket and Liquid Leggings, but I think it would look just as great with a flowy maxi or jeans and a tee. Floppy hats are going to be everywhere this spring and Nordstrom has an amazing selection at really affordable prices! Shop them here before they are all gone!

Hot Pink Pumps at the Palace

I grabbed these hot pink suede pumps off the clearance rack at Old Navy about a month ago and have been dying to wear them. Not only did I get a great deal, but also the heel height isn’t too high so they are easy to wear anywhere and they have a girly element to them that I just couldn’t resist.

This weekend I paired these hot pink suede pumps with my favorite Forever 21 skirt and moto jacket. There is nothing that makes me feel more like a princess than this airy organza midi skirt and pink heel combo! I had so much fun twirling around while we were shooting… unfortunately none of those action shots turned out, but I think the tourists at the Palace of Fine Arts got a good laugh!

I accessorized this feminine look with this edgy Perry Street necklace I got from Rocksbox. This bib necklace makes a statement and I think it looks great layered on top of this Hi-Neck Tank from Old Navy. This tank is a must-have for any girl with a collection of statement necklaces. It’s only $12 and is super soft, I’m headed back to Old Navy for additional colors!

Fresh and Affordable Activewear

Walking around the city I notice more and more people are wearing activewear as everyday wear. And why shouldn’t they? It’s not only cute, it’s comfortable and so practical for running around town.

With the active trend growing, more and more retailers (like Forever 21, H&M and Old Navy) are jumping on the active bandwagon and offering some really cute and affordable options!

The activewear selection is bigger (and cuter!) than ever before. Lately I’ve been loving the abstract printed pieces, like the leggings and sports bra below. Active is one area where the print can never be too loud and the color can never be too bright! Even your yoga mat can have an inspirational message! Check out my favorites below and get shopping!! :)

Black Friday Deals | 2014

If you’re anything like me, you like to have a game plan going into black friday. My main priority is finding out what deal everyone is offering and how long the deal lasts. Next, I scout out what I want to buy before the deals start, that way I can shop around for the best price. Finally, I like to write out a list of people I plan on buying presents for and potential gift ideas for them. That way they are fresh in your mind when you are browsing the sales!

Top Gifts for Her (Or You!) | 2014

What women want that’s a mystery men have been trying to figure out for centuries! I don’t think this topic is something I can easily sum up in a blog post, but I’m here to help you answer “what women want for christmas“!

I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but my Christmas shopping is already off to a strong start! Some of you might roll your eyes, but I live for this time of the year! I just love shopping for the perfect gift. It can be a lot of work, but nothing beats finding the ultimate gift that puts a smile on their face.

Below, I pulled together a complete collection of amazing gifts for any girl in your life. It’s important to keep in mind that every girl is different and therefore you need to pick a gift that suits her personality. Try using the collage below as inspiration. For example, accessories are a great gifting option (no sizing!), so maybe you decide to buy mittens. If your girl is a little funky, the bear mittens below would be perfect! But, if your girl is more classic, maybe a plaid print or leather gloves would be better. I love to get inspiration for ideas from the internet and then tailoring them to fit my friends and family.

Use this list to get you started, you do still have over a month until Christmas! :) Love an item below? Share in the comments!

Nothing beats getting dressed in my coziest layers and enjoying some warm hot cocoa by the fire. To help everyone get as excited as I am about the holidays I pulled together some must haves for the upcoming holiday season. Nothing screams holiday like faux fur, fair isle, plaid and reindeer prints- Enjoy!!

Fall Layering Piece: The Quilted Vest

I’ve been looking for a budget friendly vest for awhile now and finally stumbled upon this quilted one from Old Navy. Although it’s thin, this vest is the perfect fall layering piece. I love the olive color, but you have to be careful how you style it so you don’t start looking like a lumberjack!

Olive Quilted Vest

That’s why I chose to pair this vest with some über-feminine pieces. By styling olive with soft blush, it immediately softens the look up. I also layered it with a delicate sweater, my scallop clutch and some gold accessories which immediately brings up the sophistication level. What’s your favorite fall layering piece? Cool & Cozy

Fall in San Francisco is all about slowly transitioning yourself from summer into fall. Although September and October are technically fall months, we’ve had some of our warmest days of the year in these months! It doesn’t seem like Mother Nature is quite ready to embrace fall, but that doesn’t mean I’m not ready!

Cool and Cozy 1

In this type of weather, I’ve learned the best way to embrace fall without breaking a sweat is to mix your fall wardrobe with summer pieces. That way I can wear my new sweater and booties from Old Navy that I’ve been dying to wear and not have a heat stroke! I chose to pair these with my go-to chiffon skirt I got this summer, but a pencil skirt, a midi skirt or even cut-offs would work too!
