Capes are the hottest way to update your wardrobe this season, and the fall runway shows agree! Many designers featured capes in their fall collections, and this trend comes in various forms! Fun in Fur

Nothing is more fabulous than fur… faux fur that is! And it’s finally getting cool enough to bring my fur pieces out from hibernation! There are tons of ways to wear fur this fall and my personal favorite is the simple fur vest (check out the H&M style below for under $30!)

The Track Pant Trend

To be honest, I have been hesitant to jump on the track pant trend this year. But since it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere for fall, I think it’s about time I start embracing it! To be fair, part of my hesitation may stem from making a living off of the sale of denim, but I also think this look is tricky to style. I’ve seen track pants styled on the street and they sometimes end up looking sloppy, like pajamas. I think it is key to pair these pants back to feminine, formal pieces. I love the idea of styling these pants with heels (as seen in some of the pictures below), a feminine blouse and layered with a blazer. Add in details like scallops, bows, etc and you get the ultimate glam look for fall.

Bags in Disguise

I think personal style is the easiest way to express your personality. I love having fun and a sense of humor with my fashion choices- it reminds me to never take myself too seriously! This is why I was thrilled to see such fun and funky handbags coming back into style! These bags are statement pieces. You can barely even tell some of these are handbags! My personal favorite is the kate spade love story clutch in the top left corner, but retailing at $328, I’m not sure it’s worth the splurge! But, not all of these handbags are priced equally. Black & White- the perfect pair

Black & White- it’s simple, chic and everywhere this season! This color combo is both classic and trendy at the same time. Wanna know the best part? I’m sure you can find this trend hiding in your closet already!

There are tons of ways to interpret this trend, colorblocking, graphic prints, solids, stripes, etc., each looking just as stylish as the last one. I think my favorite part of this trend is the individuality it offers. I know that seems counterintuitive since it follows pretty strict color code, but you can still put your own spin on it! It’s easy to infuse it into your office wear, lounge gear or date night outfits. Dress it up or down. Wear prints or solids. Whatever you do, have fun with it! Happy Mani-Monday everybody! I hope you had a fabulous weekend and took some extra time to give your toes a pedicure… because it’s sandal season! In honor of my weekend pedi, I wanted to share my favorite sandals. If you don’t know much about me, I am usually known to gravitate to the shiniest object in the room. The more bling the better right? But this spring I’m focusing my love on the simple and sleek sandals out there. Exploring San Francisco with my husband is one of my favorite weekend activities. When I know a lot of walking and hills are on the agenda, comfort is key! With this in mind, I chose the girl’s best friend, a maxi skirt. I love maxis. They can be dressed up or down and are a staple for any wardrobe. I especially love this one from Nordstrom with the side zipper. You can change the height of the zipper slit depending on your outfit.

When dressing comfy, I quickly pass up the heels and grab some flats. The key to looking put together when dressing comfortable is accessorizing!
