Fall Hues to Love | Wine

As the leaves fall, the hues of the season get deeper as well. This burgundy/wine color below is the color of the season, taking over every store window I pass. This hue is so rich and looks great in patterns, texture, and my personal favorite… suede! There’s a definite 70’s vibe that this collection below gives me and I’m not hating it!

It looks great to go monochromatic with burgundy. I love look of the midi bodycon dress paired with the stacked heel boot. It’s simple and makes a statement. Or you could go more traditional and layer with the wrap coat or finish your look with the cozy jacquard knit cardigan. The point is, this fall hue is easy, no matter how you wear it! Check out my favorite fall pieces in this hue below!

The Most Comfortable Shoes for your Summer

If you are anything like me, you are on the go all summer long. Most weekends I’ll be out running errands from brunch to dusk and on my feet the whole day! That’s why I pulled together the most comfortable shoes to get you through these extra long summer days.

I was inspired to write this post when I saw Nike’s new Lunarsandiator Sky Hi Sandals. This sandal is the perfect marriage of style and comfort. It gives you the on trend gladiator look partnered with Nike’s cushioned Lunarlon midsole. Reviews say they are so light they won’t weigh you down and you can walk all day in them with ease!

Since these brand new Nike’s are hard to get your hands on, I supplemented with some other comfy wedges on the market this summer. Tom’s strappy wedges are always a great choice and they have tons of color and print options this season! Another brand I can always count on for comfort is Cole Haan. Their Leather Strappy Cork Wedges are a classic choice to keep your feet happy. Maybe you’re the girl who wishes you could wear your Uggs in the summer? Guess what, you can! Uggs has an amazing collection of stylish summer wedges that will keep your feet cool and comfy. Check out the rest of my comfortable summer shoes below and share your favorites in the comments!

Top Summer Shoe Trends | 2015

Get excited girls, my ultimate guide to summer shoe trends is here! This summer is all about fringe, lace-up ankle straps, espadrilles, metallics and more!

I pulled together some fabulous (and super budget friendly) options that fall into each of summer’s top four trends! A few of my favorites are Old Navy’s Tie Gladiators, Target’s Embellished Footbeds, Forever 21’s Crochet Espadrilles and H&M’s Floral Platforms. As you are shopping, you will probably notice a lot of the styles fall into more than one trend, covering all your bases! (crochet + espadrilles = dreamy!) And the best part of all is the price tags on these picks! They are all priced under $45- now that’s a trend I can get behind! Happy shopping and share your favorites in the comments below!

Pink Floppy Hat on the Pier

Lately, my outfits have been centered around my accessories. Whether it’s a hat, a bag, shoes or jewelry, these accessories seem to be dictating the rest of my outfit and I kinda love it! It’s great when a statement piece can hold it’s own in an outfit. This weekend it’s all about my pink floppy hat!

PINK FLOPPY HAT ON THE PIER

I got this Pink Floppy Felt Hat from Nordstrom for only $28 this past week. I think it creates the perfect spring look paired with black and denim basics. It seriously saved my hair this weekend! As we were walking on the pier, the wind was blowing my hair everywhere! It was perfect to tame my mane and to hide my less than perfect hair day, but still not give me hat hair!

I chose to style this hat with my Old Navy Denim Jacket and Liquid Leggings, but I think it would look just as great with a flowy maxi or jeans and a tee. Floppy hats are going to be everywhere this spring and Nordstrom has an amazing selection at really affordable prices! Shop them here before they are all gone!

Hot Pink Pumps at the Palace

I grabbed these hot pink suede pumps off the clearance rack at Old Navy about a month ago and have been dying to wear them. Not only did I get a great deal, but also the heel height isn’t too high so they are easy to wear anywhere and they have a girly element to them that I just couldn’t resist.

This weekend I paired these hot pink suede pumps with my favorite Forever 21 skirt and moto jacket. There is nothing that makes me feel more like a princess than this airy organza midi skirt and pink heel combo! I had so much fun twirling around while we were shooting… unfortunately none of those action shots turned out, but I think the tourists at the Palace of Fine Arts got a good laugh!

I accessorized this feminine look with this edgy Perry Street necklace I got from Rocksbox. This bib necklace makes a statement and I think it looks great layered on top of this Hi-Neck Tank from Old Navy. This tank is a must-have for any girl with a collection of statement necklaces. It’s only $12 and is super soft, I’m headed back to Old Navy for additional colors!

Spring Shoe Trends | 2015

I’m back! Sorry for my unexpected hiatus! I’ve been under the weather and traveling for the past few weeks and I’m finally back home and healthy (almost)!

Anyways, today is all about spring shoe trends. We are well into February and it’s about this time of year that I start to get antsy for spring! I am dying to go get a fresh pedicure and prance around town in some new, fun, spring forward shoes!

This year I’m gravitating toward metallics, bright prints and detailed neutrals. What are my absolute must haves for spring?

  1. Espadrilles- go for an easy neutral pair or a wild printed pair! (or both!!)
  2. Embellished Sandals- these glitter and rhinestone sandals from Target are completely necessary!
  3. Fun Heels- either iridescent or fringed, there’s no going wrong here!

Take a look at what I’m shopping for below and leave a comment with your must have shoe choices!

Valentino Rockstud | Look for Less

There’s one pair of heels that will always be on my wishlist, that’s the Valentino Rockstud Pumps! There’s two reasons for that… 1- these pumps are amazing and will always be in style and 2- they will stay on my wishlist because they are WAY out of my price range!

Valentino makes several variations of the Rockstud- kitten heels, T-strap, flats and many more! Each is amazing in it’s own way, but they run almost $1,000 each! Since I’m not going to be able to afford these anytime soon, I’ve been scouring the internet for a Rockstud look for less. Luckily I’ve found a few great alternatives!

The options below range from $18 to the REAL Valentino’s at $995. Can you spot the real Valentino Rockstuds? If not, each style (and price) is listed right below the collage. I’m personally partial to LuLu’s $34 version. Share your favorite in the comments below!

Crème de la Crème

Happy Humpday! It’s been quite some time since I posted an outfit post, but the wait is over!

I bought this Creme de la Creme Sweatshirt at Nordstom awhile back for only $10! It’s super similar to Zoe Karssen’s style that was retailing for $180! I get a ton of use out of this sweatshirt, dressing it up and dressing it down. It goes perfect with jeans (as pictured here), but it looks great glammed up with a skirt too! There’s no doubt this sweatshirt is versatile, but even so I can safely say I wouldn’t pay the inspiration’s steep price of $180!

This past weekend I decided to dress it up with layers. I chose my favorite Gap Polka Dot Oxford to wear under it and paired it back to my perfectly distressed 501’s. Finish it off with some grey suede heels and I’m ready for fall!
