All American Twirl

Hi all! I hope you had an amazing holiday weekend! Fourth of July is for spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, eating great food and watching fireworks, of course! My wonderful weekend included all of these All American things.

While roaming the streets this weekend I saw so many patriotic outfits. Independence Day is a great excuse to show off your favorite red, white and blue outfits. I love all the stars, stripes and flag pieces, but for a dressier look I opted for this simple white organza skirt and paired it back to an American classic, a Levi’s denim vest! Also, I’ve been looking for an excuse to wear these amazing blue printed wedges I scored from Hautelook! What better excuse than this festive holiday?

City by the Bay

I have to admit, I’m not normally a huge fan of graffiti, but I love this City by the Bay wall near our apartment. It’s lively, colorful and encompasses all the joy San Francisco has to offer! After passing this wall every week, I finally felt compelled to feature it on my blog. And what better way to show off this vivid work of art than the white-hot trend that’s everywhere this season?

Head-to-toe white is a great look this summer! It’s such an easy outfit to pull together and looks effortlessly polished. Pop of Mint

Today I am rocking yet another color of these Topshop Slip-Ons. You may have seen my light pink pair from the Studs & Crochet post a couple of weeks ago. I ended up loving those so much I had to run back to Nordstrom and buy the black pair too! They are so versatile and comfortable that I find myself throwing them on all the time! And for only $35, you can’t beat them!

One of my favorite colors right now is mint and it has been popping up everywhere over the past year! Since pastels are trending this season, I got this mint crossbody to add a pop of color to my neutral outfits. I can only expect that mint won’t be sticking around as the trendy color forever, so I opted for this Forever 21 option that was only $14.80! What a steal! Do you love the pastel trend this season? Power of Pink

Exploring San Francisco with my husband is one of my favorite weekend activities. When I know a lot of walking and hills are on the agenda, comfort is key! With this in mind, I chose the girl’s best friend, a maxi skirt. I love maxis. They can be dressed up or down and are a staple for any wardrobe. I especially love this one from Nordstrom with the side zipper. You can change the height of the zipper slit depending on your outfit.

When dressing comfy, I quickly pass up the heels and grab some flats. The key to looking put together when dressing comfortable is accessorizing! In this look I opted to glam it up with my white rhinestone handbag, rhinestone caged sandals and heart sunnies. This was a great ensemble to run around town in. This weekend I stumbled upon this wall of beautiful pink flowers and just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to use it as a backdrop. How could I when these vibrant blooms perfectly matched my pink bamboo clutch? I paired this bold clutch back to this effortless romper I got from Forever21 (for only $19.80!). Rompers are a must for any girl’s wardrobe. Since they are a one-piece look, they are so easy to throw on and look fabulous!

Lastly, I finished the look with neutral accessories. In my opinion, it’s not summer without wedges and these Michael Antonio nude wedges are one of my favorite pairs. Not only do they go great with everything, they are super comfy! I also love the inner beauty of gold metallic that peeks out under my toes; it adds a little extra glam to the look.
