Crème de la Crème

Happy Humpday! It’s been quite some time since I posted an outfit post, but the wait is over!

I bought this Creme de la Creme Sweatshirt at Nordstom awhile back for only $10! It’s super similar to Zoe Karssen’s style that was retailing for $180! I get a ton of use out of this sweatshirt, dressing it up and dressing it down. It goes perfect with jeans (as pictured here), but it looks great glammed up with a skirt too! There’s no doubt this sweatshirt is versatile, but even so I can safely say I wouldn’t pay the inspiration’s steep price of $180!

This past weekend I decided to dress it up with layers. I chose my favorite Gap Polka Dot Oxford to wear under it and paired it back to my perfectly distressed 501’s. Finish it off with some grey suede heels and I’m ready for fall!

Forever Blue

For a while now, I’ve been lusting over this ASOS trapeze dress, but haven’t been able to justify buying it. It’s not necessarily expensive ($50), but it’s a little impractical for San Francisco. Then I found this similar style at Forever 21 for just $22. Just like the ASOS style, it has a caged neckline and is a fabulous bright blue color. Who cares if it’s practical if it’s only $22?

Since I can’t leave my apartment without at least one layer, I sported this amazing floral bomber from Forever 21. Notice a theme here? With this whole outfit being bought from Forever 21 and the shoes from Payless, it can all be purchased for under $70! See below for links.

Casual Monday

Today I’m keeping it casual. Layers, sneakers and bold jewelry are usual suspects in my weekend wardrobe. In San Francisco, I always make sure to dress in layers. You never know where the day will take you and the weather changes drastically from one neighborhood to the next.

Also, sneakers are a must when climbing the hills of San Francisco. I’ve expressed my love for these particular slip-ons in the posts Pop of Mint and Studs & Crochet. They are a great go-to shoe to have in your closet and they go with everything!

When running errands, basics are a must. I love starting with this easy knit tee/skirt combo, throwing on a chambray top and mixing it up with my favorite accessories of the moment. Whether it’s my shoes, purse or jewelry, I always choose one to brighten up the outfit. What’s your go-to accessory to add personality to your basic outfits?

Pop of Mint

Today I am rocking yet another color of these Topshop Slip-Ons. You may have seen my light pink pair from the Studs & Crochet post a couple of weeks ago. I ended up loving those so much I had to run back to Nordstrom and buy the black pair too! They are so versatile and comfortable that I find myself throwing them on all the time! And for only $35, you can’t beat them!

One of my favorite colors right now is mint and it has been popping up everywhere over the past year! Since pastels are trending this season, I got this mint crossbody to add a pop of color to my neutral outfits. I can only expect that mint won’t be sticking around as the trendy color forever, so I opted for this Forever 21 option that was only $14.80! What a steal! Do you love the pastel trend this season?
